Mietje Groen was a daughter of Eliazer Levie Groen and Fijtje de Magtige. She married 20 October 1897 in Amsterdam to Hartog Lootsteen, a son of Mozes Lootsteen and Kaatje Jas. Hartog Lootsteen however passed away already before the war, on 5 October 1938.
The couple had five children, of whom their daughter Sophie died, aged 15, on 22 November 1923 and Eliazer died 10 Augusat 1934, aged 35. Both were buried in the Jewish Cemetery in Diemen. One son have survived the war but the other tow children, Mozes and Catherina have been killed in the Holocaust.
