Freerk de Leve was a student at the Hogere Textielschool (institute for textile studies) in Enschede. After the summer holiday of 1941, Jewish students were barred from the school. In the hall of the former Hogere Textielschool on the Ariënsplein a plaque lists the names of students, teachers and former students who did not survive the war. Freerk de Leve is listed here.
