Louis Levie and Lea Elte married in Den Helder on 25 March 1919. The couple had three children. One child died before the war at a young age. The two other children survived the war.

The Velp police commissioner, community of Rheden, requested that Louis Levie be located, detained and brought to trial. He lived in Dieren, community of Rheden, and was suspected of having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding. Identifying characteristics: 'About 5'9" tall, sturdy build, dark appearance, wears spectacles.'
