Schefa Berlinger was a daughter of Aron Berlinger and Babette Seelzbacher. She was born in Berlichingen in Germany on 10 July 1903. She married Betty Wagenaar's widower, Julius Levie, on 1 March 1934 in Amsterdam. Schefa and Julius had another son Hartog on 6 March 1936. She was murdered together with her son on 19 November 1942 in Auschwitz. Her husband Julius Levie died in Amsterdam on 8 September 1940.
