Jacob Veffer was a son of Philip Veffer and Rosette Pepper. He married Leentje Agsteribbe in Zaandam on 30 January 1918 but she passed away on 22 November 1924. Jacob remarried in 3 March 1927 in Amsterdam to Elisabeth Jacobs. Since April 1940 Jacob resided in Het Apeldoornse Bos.
From his first marriage his daughter Rebecca was born in 1918. She was married to Salomon Bierman and has survived the Holocaust. During his second marriage Philip and Flora Clara were born.
