Elisabeth Fles was a daughter of Hijman Fles and Rika Fles. She married in Amsterdam on 25 January 1928 with the non-Jewish Federik Lute Heinenman from Avereest (prov.of Overijssel), who was previously married to Jacomina Aldersma.
Elisabeth and Frederik together had three children, who have survived the war.
Elisabeth was born in a family with 12 children, of whom three children have died already at young age. Her other siblings were Levie, Isaac, Emanuel, Lea, Gracia, Sara, Benjamin and Jacob.
