Abraham Verduin (pet name Albert) was a son of Isaac Verduin and Rachel Bernardina Stijsel. He married in Amsterdam on 31 October 1923 to Anna Vijevano, with whom he had two children: Wanda and Ernst. The latter, aswell his mother Anna survived the Holocaust.

Abraham Verduin was a hat manufacturer. He and his brother Leon were the directors of the Dameshoedenfabriek Gebr. Verduin N.V., a ladies’ hat factory at Rapenburgerstraat 38-42. In 1942, the Verduin family was forced to move to Amsterdam. Abraham Verduin and his family lived at Zuider-Amstellaan 162-III. On 12 January 1943, they were picked up at that address.
