Ludwig Wartensleben was a technical engineer. He was married in Belgium in 1912. He and his wife had three children, all born in Germany. In 1920 the family moved to The Hague. In 1942, Ludwig Wartensleben was living in Amsterdam. His wife and children were not registered as living there. It is not clear where they were staying or whether they survived the war. In his birthplace, Ober-Ramstadt, a biography of Ludwig Wartensleben is being written.
