Simon Hirschfeld was the son of Samuel Hirschfeld and Ester Erna Gardon (Gordon). He was the brother of Isaac Hirschfeld. Simon was a grain inspector. Because he was married to a non-Jewish woman, he was released following his first arrest. The second time he was arrested, it was because someone had betrayed him to the authorities for listening to a clandestine radio. Simon died in Eastern Europe.
