Mary Widman was deported to Sobibor in June 1943 from Vught via Westerbork on the so-called children's transport. She was 14 when she died.

Mary Widman was a pupil at the Floris V School on the Smaragdplein in Amsterdam. In 1940 she wrote a poem in the poetry album of a classmate.
