Jakob Glocer was born in Brest-Litowsk in Poland. He arrived in Den Haag on 22 June 1939 from Karlsruhe in Germany and resided at the address Pletterijkade 34. It is not known when and why Jacob Glocer went to Gouda - he still resided in Den Haag - but passed away in Gouda on 11 December 1940. His death was notified at the Municpality of Gouda on 12 December 1940 by Maurits Monnikendam, undertaker at Gouda,
"who declared from own knowledge that this year, at 12.30 p.m. on 11 October 1940 has died in this municipality Glocer, Jakob, aged 65, born at Brest-Litowsk in Poland, residing at 's-Gravenhage, nothing further known."
The funeral records at the Jewish cemetery in Gouda reveal that Jakob Glocer was buried there.
