Louis Wolff, son of Julius Wolff en Betsy Wolff-Gersons, studied medicine in Utrecht, where he completed his studies in 1940. In Groningen, he was given the post of assistant. Louis Wolff had heart problems. After the Nazi invasion, he rode from Groningen to Amsterdam on his motorbike on 11 May 1940. He died that night, probably due to exhaustion.

Louis Wolff is since 4th May 2007 mentioned on a memorial tablet in the hall of the Universitybuilding at the Broerplein in Groningen. Louis Wolff was lid van het Utrechtsch Studenten Corps en was in het studiejaar 1933/1934 Ab actis van “Christiaan Huygens “, een particulier gezelschap binnen het Corps.
