The Arnhem police commissioner requested that David Salomon Gersons, a merchant residing in Tiel, be located, detained and brought to trial. He had previously been affiliated with and belonged to the Huidenhandel [animal skins trade] in Amsterdam. He was suspected of having changed his place of residence without obtaining the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
