Johan Wijler, son of Samuel Wijler and Martha de Groot, lived before his deportation to Westerbork transit camp with his wife and children at the Stationsweg 2 in Barneveld. John Wijler was brought from Westerbork to Groningen where he died on 2 March 1944. On 6 March 1944 he was cremated in transit camp Westerbork. The urn with his ashes was placed on the Jewish cemetry Toepad in Rotterdam.
