Meijer Kellerman was a son of Israel Kellerman and Margritha Salomons. He was a cattle dealer. He married Eva Kaufman in 1895. The couple had twelve children, among whom Sara, Marcus and Cera. Three children survived the war.
Eva Kellerman-Kaufman died in Arnhem in 1931. She was buried at the Jewish cemetery Moscowa.

The Arnhem police commissioner requested that Meijer Kellerman, residing in Arnhem, be located, detained and brought to trial. He was suspected of having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
