About Salomon Elias Minco

Salomon Elias Minco (nickname Sallo) went into hiding with his father Maurits Minco, his mother Sophia Minco-Nathans, his sister Estella Rosetta and his twin brother Simon Nathan and brother Nico with farmer Evers in Hezingen.

On 6 October 1944, a group of Germans and Dutchmen raided Evers's farm. Maurits, his wife Sophia, their daughter Estella Rosetta and three sons Simon Nathan, Nico and Salomon Elias were caught and transferred to the barracks of the military police at the Almelosestraat in Ootmarsum. Early the following morning, on 7 October 1944, Maurits and his three sons were rounded up from the barracks by a group of Germans of the Sicherheitsdienst and shot through the head just outside Ootmarsum.
