François Busnac was a son of Barend Busnac and Alexandrina Etienne. He married Naatje Zwaab in 1910 in Amsterdam. She lived since 1919 in the Apeldoornse Bos. They had four children, of whom the two youngest passed away in 1915 and 1918.

The police commissioner of Tilburg requested that François Busnac be located, detained and brought to trial. He resided in Tilburg and was suspected of having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
