Hugo Julius van Dam, the eldest son of Salomon van Dam and Diena Sternfeld, married 30 July 1942 in Rotterdam Beth Posner, a daughter of Jacob Posner and Rebecca Malkin. 14 January 1943 he was registered in Camp Westerbork and deported to Auschwitz 18 January. Upon arrival there 21 January 1943, he was immediately killed. Also his wift Beth Postner, who since her marriage lived at the address of her husband and parents-in-law, Statenweg 84 c too, was also sent to Camp Westerbork that 13 January and deported to Auschwitz 18 January. She too was killed there immediately upon arrival 21 January 1943.
