About Debora Vas Nunes-Furster

Debora Furster was a daughter of Baruch Samuel Furster and Sara Knap. With her parents and sisters she moved from Rotterdam to Schiebroek, Bilderdijkstraat 22 boven in 1931 and per 26 September 1934 to Schiebroeksesingel 4. Until early 1941 the family has resided there but per February 1941 the address has become C.P.Tielestraat 20 in Rotterdam. Per April 1942 Debora lived in in the Vas Nunes family at Adrien Mildersstraat 19a in Rotterdam. She was married to Abraham Vas Nunes - presumably after 1940 - a son of Samuel Vas Nunes and Elizabeth Esther Frenk.

Debora had two other sisters who both have survived the Holocaust but she as also her parents were killed in the Shoah. On 14 October 1942 she was interned in transit camp Westerbork in barack 35 and since 7 November she stayed in barack 43. On 8 December 1942 she and her husband Abraham Vas Nunes have been deported to Auschwitz where Debora upon arrival there on 11 December 1942 has been killed. Her husband lost his life there on 28 February 1943.
