Joseph Duka was a son of Simon Duka and Hanna van Wijnbergen. He was married in Zaandam on 25 September 1894 to Hanna Lopes Dias from Enkhuizen, aged 30, daughter of Samuel Lopes Dias and Rosette Lopes de Leâo Laguna. Hanna passed away on 23 June 1921. The couple had three children: Simon, Rosette and Hanna.
