Max Mechanicus is a son of Benjamin Mechanichus and Tietje Repko. Max got married on July 30, 1942. Max and his wife first lived in Amsterdam and later on the Beukelsweg in Rotterdam. The couple was married 51 weeks when they were arrested in Amsterdam. They were accused of the fact that they had helped Jews. After some time they were both sent to Vught. From there Max was deported to Germany. His wife was released and has survived the war.
