Jacob Samuel de Lange, office-clerk by profession, was a son of the deceased Joseph de Lange and Sara Goldstein. Elise Roosjen de Leeuw was a daughter of Alfred de Leeuw and Naatje de Leeuw. Alfred de Leeuw, the groom's father, and Samuel Jacob de Lange, the groom's brother, were the witnesses at the wedding. They signed the marriage certificate.
