Hartog Andries Groenewoudt was shokhet for the Jewish community of Eindhoven. Untill the 1930's he had a kosher butchery at the Demer.

During the war Hartog Andries Groenewoudt lived with the family of his daughter Sara in Zaltbommel. Together with the other Jewish residents of Zaltbommel they were transported to Westerbork In November 1942.
