About Gertrud Käthe Boas-Levy

Gertrud Käthe Levy was born in 1906 in Hildesheim as daughter of Emil Levy and Mathilde Kahn. She was widow of Friedrich Wilhelm Apel when she married on 2 December 1936 in Delft to Nathan Levie Boas, a son of Simon Boas and Mietje Katan. The marriage however ended in a divorce by verdict of the District Court of Den Haag from 30 January 1940 and registered in the Civil Registry of Delft on 16 May 1940. The ex-couple lived since then at separate addresses in Den Haag.

On 10 November 1942 Gertrud Käthe Levy has been deported from transit camp Westerbork to Auschwitz, where she was killed immediately upon arrival there on 13 November 1942.
