Abraham de Leeuw was a son of David Jacob de Leeuw and Rosette Baroche Hamburger. He had four other brothers: Joseph, Jacob David, Emanuel and Alexander David.
Abraham married in Den Haag on 19 December 1906 to Naatje Huisman, daughter of Barend Huisman and Jetje Roos. They had three children together: David, Jetje and Barend.
