Fabian Schön arrived in the Netherlands as a German refugee on 5 February 1939. He stayed at various assembly points for Palestine Pioneers. From 17 January 1940 until 7 February 1942 he was a ward at the Paviljoen Loosdrechtse Rade youth aliyah home in Loosdrecht. Afterwards he went into hiding.
From his place in hiding, together with seven other Palestine Pioneers (Siegbert Leo Adler, Bernard Aschheim, Robert Jozef Dürheim, Juda Pinkhof, Jossel Waldmann, Lili Kellner and Esra Jurovics), he tried to escape to Switzerland. They were caught at the Belgian border.

Fabian Schön was in hiding at an address at the Pleinweg in Rotterdam.
Addition of a visitor of the website
The mayor of Loosdrecht requested that Fabian Schön be located, detained and brought to trial for having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
