Hartog Naphtalie Zwalf was a son of Joseph Zwalf and Hanna Carels. He married 30 May 1918 to Jetta Barnstein, daughter of Meijer Barnstein and Grietje Kooker.
The couple had one daughter: Hanna, who survived the Holocaust, just as her mother Jetta Barnstein.
