Leon Heide, son of Juda Simon Heide and Matje van Gelderen, married September 16th 1936 to Ircia Rath. This was his second marriage. With his first wife, from whom he divorced in 1936, he had three children: Samuel, Juda and a daughter, who has survived the war. Also his former wife survived the war.
