Biography

About Arnold Davids

In the early decades of the twentieth century, a group of Dutch artists lived and worked in Paris. Arnold Davids was part of that group, along with Van Deene, Hassoldt, John Rädecker, Filarski and Jacob Bendien. Jan van Deene wrote about this topic in his essay ‘Rechtvaardiging’, which appeared in Centraal Museum Utrecht, Mededelingen, no. 16-17 (March 1977). Dr Y. Koopmans also wrote about the group in the article ‘De harde kop van Anni de Roos’, which appeared in Jong Holland no. 4/00.
