Isaäc Simon van Bergen was a baker. He was married and had two children. The family lived in Amsterdam. Isaäc Simon van Bergen was involved in the resistance with the Dutch communist party (CPN). On 28 August 1941 he was arrested in Amsterdam and deported to Auschwitz via Amersfoort and Buchenwald.
