Bernard Davidson was a son of Jacob Davidson and Louise Bakker. He married Hanna Boekman on 24 May 1896 in Zaandam, a daughter of Izaak Jacob Boekman and Rijntje Perel.
The couple had five children, of whom Rosalie died as a baby of 15 months old and of whom Jacob (who was married to Elisabeth van der Hoeden), has survived the Holocaust. The other children were Louisa, Reintje and Alida.
Bernard had four other siblings, who also have not survived the Holocaust: Abraham, Doortje, Anna en Truitje.
