Clara de Vries was a daughter of Hijman de Vries and Jansje Bonewit. She married 30 October 1935 in Amsterdam to Maurits Samuel Finsij, son of Samuel Finsij and Maria Kinsbergen.

Clara Finsij-de Vries was as seamstress employed at the ready made cloth factory Lambert, Janssen & Neumann. On 22 February 1942, she thanks the governers in a letter for the financial support she has received at the passing of her parents.
