The police commissioner, head of the juvenile precinct in Amsterdam, requested that Rebecca van Bingen, residing at 71 3rd Oosterparkstraat, second floor, in Amsterdam, be located. She had been missing since 16 July 1942. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding. 'Identifying characteristics: about 5'3" tall, heavy build, round face, healthy complexion, brown hair, blue eyes; wearing a brown checked suit, beige stockings, low brown shoes, a white blouse with red dots, bareheaded.'
