Levie Hijman, son of Salomon Hijman and Betje van Kollem, married 12 December 1883 to Rachel Reens, a daughter of Tobias Reens and Engelina Pels. The couple had ten children, of whom one little daughter has died only five years old. The other children were Salomon, Engeltje, Simon, Tobias, Alida, Benjamin, Henriette and Lea. One daughter has survived the Holocaust.
Rachel Reens passed away on 23 Marchc 1931 and was interred in the Jewish Cemetery in Diemen.
