Sophia de Vries was a daughter of Levi de Vries and Marianna Berlijn. She married Alexander Frank in Venlo on 24 February 1902, a son of Philip Frank and Vrouwtje Israels. In 1903 Sophia and Alexander had a son: Felix Frank.
Since 20 April 1914, Sophia lived with her husband and son in Rotterdam at Stationssingel 7c. Her husband was shopkeeper in haberdasheries. Sophie has been sent to Camp Westerbork on 27 February 1943 and had to stay at barack 69 till she was deported to Sobibor on 2 March. Upon arrival in Sobibor on 5 March 1943, she has been killed there immediately.
Her husband however was sent from Camp Westerbork to Auschwitz already on 16 October 1942 where he upon arrival there on 19 October 1942 also immediately has been killed.
