Eva Katz, born in Doesburg, was a daughter of Benjamin Katz and Sijbilla Philipson. She was unmarried.
Eva was born into a family with eleven children. Of them two brothers have died in Doesburg at age 10. Two sisters and two brothers have died already before the war and of one sister nothing is furhter known. But Eva self, her siblings Jetje, Diena and Mozes were killed in the Shoah.
Since 29 September1934 Eva resided in Amsterdam at various addresses. Per 13 September 1938 she moved to Roompotstraat 14 II (with Snuijf) and 10 July 1939 her last addres became Weesperplein 1, the "Joodsche Invalide".
Eva Katz was sent to Camp Westerbork on 2 March 1943, registered and she had to stay in barack 85. After one week, on 10 March she was deported to Sobibor, were upon arrival there on 13 March 1943 she was immediately killed.
