Salomon de Haas was the son of Moses de Haas and Hendrika Izaaks. He married 19 November 1902 in Rotterdam to Lena Eijl, a daugher of Hermanus Eijl and Rosetta van Gelder. She passed away on 13 March 1940 in Rotterdam.
Salomon and Lena had nine children together, of whom two sons have survied the war. His other children - his daughters Rosetta, Hendrika, Annie ans his sons Mozes, Hermanus, Henri and Louis have been killed all during the Holocaust.
