Horst Egon Zikel married in 1932 in Berlin. In 1939 he came from Berlin to the Netherlands. He temporarily stayed in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Schoorl, again in Amsterdam, Sluis and in July 1940 in Westerbork. In July 1942 he moved from Westerbork to Amsterdam.
