Dina Eschwege was married to Georg Götz. The couple had a son Jacob Ralf Götz and a daughter who fled to New York. Dina Eschwege became a widow in 1933.
In 1938 or 1939 her house and the familybusiness were confiscated by the German authorities. Dina and her son had to settle for a small apartment elsewhere in Chemnitz. With help from Israël van Voolen, Dina Eschwege and her son came to the Netherlands. Subsequently, Israël van Voolen became her second husband.
