Elisabeth Engelsman was a daughter of Barend Engelsman and Esther Victors. She married Lion Knoop on 28 July 1937 in Amsterdam a son of Mozes Knoop and Jansje Morpurgo. The couple had two children: Mozes and Barend.
Elisabeth self had three sisters and two brothers: Sara, Keetje, Clara, Samuel and Jacob. They too have been killed during the Shoah.
