Lazarus van Brink was a son of Israel van Brink and Wilhelmina Stoppelman. He married in Winschoten on 29 August 1906 to Roza Stoppelman, daugher of Arend Stoppelman and Haike Salomon.
His siblings were Lodewijk, Hendrika, Francina and Schoontje. His sister Grietje together with her husband, survived the Holocaust, just as his sister Elisabeth, howver, not her husband Simon Gobets. His sister Elske passed away in 1910; her husband Mozes Lion de Vries remarried in 1911 to Lea Simons.
