Daniel Pool was a son of Mozes Pool and Esther Heertje. He married in Amsterdam on 14 March 1907 to Mietje Brilleman, daughter of Joseph Brilleman and Branca Broekman. The couple had two children: Maurits, who survived the Holocaust and Branca, who was unmarried.
