Rebecca Lelie was a daughter of Haim Lelie and Kaatje Beugeltas. She married 21 January 1925 in Amsterdam to Joel Samson Casseres, a son of Abraham Casseres and Elisabeth Sanger.
Rebecca was born in a family with seven children. A twin died soon after they were born. Her other siblings were Isaac, Abraham, Leentje and Mietje. They have been killed during the Holocaust.
