Judith Frijda was married to Nathan Engelsman (1860-1892). The couple had five children: 455223, 501819, 382814. One child died before the war and one child survived the war.

Judith Engelsman-Frijda had also a daughter, Schoontje Hartog Izabella Engelsman. She designed the Jewish reading board. Schoontje lived in Groningen and did not survive the war.
