Levie Sajet was the only son of Salomon Sajet and Sara van de Kar. He was married in Amsterdam on 25 February 1942. The couple lived at 16 Volkerakstraat, first floor, in Amsterdam. They had no children. The couple were first taken to Westerbork and from there deported to Theresienstadt in September 1944. After a few weeks, they were deported to Auschwitz. They carried items of jewellery with them throughout the transport. Furthermore, they had hidden 5 carat diamonds in their rucksacks. In Auschwitz, they had to hand over their rucksacks and the jewellery was taken from them. Levie Sajet's wife survived the war.
