Mozes Lootsteen was a son of Sander Lootsteen and Schoontje Wennik. He married in Amsterdam on 31 August 1938 to Henriette de Wilde, daughter of Abraham de Wilde and Klaartje Roeg. The couple had one son Alexander, who survived the Holocaust, just as his mother Henriette de Wilde.
