Doortje Brilleslijper was a daughter of David Brilleslijper and Racheltje Polak. She married 28 October 1908 to Samuel de Leeuw from Harlingen, who passed away in Apeldoorn on 7 July 1925. He was a son of Mannus de Leeuw and Johanna v.d. Woude.
Doortje and Samuel had two sons: Emanuel, who has survived the Holocaut and David, whith whom Doortje lived in since March 1940.
