Mozes Lootsteen was a son of Abraham Lootsteen and Roosje Zwart. He married Jansje Kanes in Amsterdam on 21 July 1926, a daughter of Barend Kanes and Lea Zwalf.
His other siblings: Kaatje, Esther, Willem and Mina have been killed all during the Holocaust.
