Jetje Rebecca Akker was married to David de Leeuw. The couple had five children, of which two survived the war. David de Leeuw died before the war.
Jetje de Leeuw-Akker was named after both her grandmothers. Her name was originally meant to be Henriëtte Rebecca Akker. Her father however was so nervous that he couldn't recall the name of his mother in law when he reported the birth of his daughter.
