The police commissioner in charge of the juvenile police in Amsterdam requested that the minor Rebecca van Embden, born on 18 August 1923 in Amsterdam and residing at 98 Retiefstraat, fourth floor, in Amsterdam and missing since 17 July 1942, be located. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding. Identifying characteristics: 'about 5'7" tall, normal build, dark-brown hair, blue eyes; wearing a short blue coat, a dark red dress, brown stockings, black shoes; bareheaded.'
